The country has unfortunately reached the grim milestone of 100,000 deaths from the illness, and is now facing its worst health crisis ever, as well as one of the worst economic downturns in its history. Hailing from the state of Maranhão, Joãozinho Ribeiro uses his art as a form of political resistance.
